ArtechnikA.com is off the air.
i haven't had any email through ArtechnikA.com for 18 hours. email to PremierDomain support bounces. naturally no one is answering the M-F telephone... i was getting pretty unhappy with them anyway. so - i need a webhost. not big storage requirements, not big bandwidth requirements, need email and FTP, cheap is good but reliable is required. open to suggestion, prefer to make this happen ASAP. thanks. pls reply here, via PM, or email to rich (at) ross-tech (dot) com because mail sent to ArtechnikA.com probably won't reach me ! |

My wife's business website and email are hosted at Total Choice and so far it's been great.

I switched my domains to 1and1.com and have been extremely happy with their customer support AND the performance of their systems. It's also a great deal $ wise.

haha, that's funny! i didn't know they were doing biz in the USA now. i used to work for them at their headquarters in Montabaur (Germany) back in the early '90s ... i know the guy who founded the company (Ralph Dommermuth) very well. he's quite a, hum, "interesting" character ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) anyone remember the good old BTX days? 1&1 had a exclusive contract with the german telecom to run ALL their BTX biz. damm, those were fun times! btw. the main company building is in the shape of a $ sign! you have to fly over it to see it ... okay - the process is started.
naturally when i opened a new browser (ArtechnikA.com is my home page...) the page came right up and my email started flowing... screw'em -- PremierDomain is dead as far as i'm concerned, and as soon as i get all the confirmations from total choice i'll transfer the site to the new host and re-enable the email. problem resolution things i tried before pulling the plug: 1 - sent emails of inquiry to every support email edderess i have for them and that i could find on the wensites. all of them bounced as undeliverable. 2- went to their website to check system status and try webmail. the system status reported no problems but webemail was off the air. 3 - went back to their website - i got a generic page from cPanel telling me there was no website there. this from a web hosting company! tried premierdomain.com and .net - they own 'em both, each does a slightly and confusingly different thing. 4) tried to call them. they have a Monday->Friday number for billing inquiries only, nothing for technical support that i could fing. left a message. no callback yet, obviously. we'll see how long it takes them to notice i'm pissied off, and how long it takes them to notice i've bailed on 'em -- and how long it takes to get a credit for 6 mos prepaid, although i expect i'll find it's nonrefundable. money well spent, good riddance. so - those of you trying to reach the ArtechnikA.com website, coverage may be spotty the next couple-three days. |

1and1's web site though indicates that they provide ssh access which for me is a huge plus. Does Total Choice off this? I didn't see it indicated on their web site. |

My business is web development and hosting. I've been getting a lot of support and enjoyment out of this message board, so I'm willing to pitch in big discounts if it helps anyone here. My company does high-end business hosting with rates between $19 and $39 per month depending on the options. For members of the BBS, I'll offer our top package for $99 per year.

Sounds like it could be a deal for the person(s). I didn't see ssh access on your site either though.
