Ok,

the stock Djet with tuning runs a 2.4 liter motor, proven to work, by me.
I had to know cause everyone said it would not, but when you look at the specs, it should. Indeed it works, runs, drives, does everything it should...but the camshaft keeps it restricted.

Couple of facts.
With Djet, you need the Djet EFI trigger points in the base of the distributor, so you are not running djet.

With Ljet, you need a firing signal from the points, so it may have Ljet.

Ljet is easier to tune for a 2.4 liter motor.

On the cheap, I would source a used ljet distributor to give you a better advance curve and get it back to stock.

The tuning will be tricky, but it can be done if you do some research.
Combination of a resistor in the CHT circuit, and adjusting the AFM will get you with a race ready 2.4 liter motor, running Ljet.

So, take more pictures, learn more.

You ahve a 71mm crank and 103 Mm pistons.
ITs just shy of 2.4 liters.

Check the head casting numbers to see what type of heads you have before you throw too much money at it...
Remove the valve covers, the head number is inside,
Take a pic, post it here.
