I have rebuilt my 2.0 engine and plan to install during Easter. I discovered that my MPS does not hold a vacuum, I have a rebuilt unit on order from Automobile Atlanta but it will probably some weeks until delivery
Question: Can I do the first motor start and run it for 20 mins @ 2000rpm with the broken MPS? Thanks |

Depends on what is "broken". If it's not holding vacuum then it's running full rich which could wash the cylinders with fuel and waste your rings.

You'll probably run too rich and foul out your plugs. That's what mine did. Cancel that AA order and get one from Jeff Bowlsby.
