i'm not an admin but i'm happy to give you a little (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon_bump.gif)

the date conflict really sucks (not your fault).

but Joy really wants to go back to VT for the ECR and she has to put up with so much Porsche shit throughout the year that when she actually wants to go to an event that involves driving the Porsche (she hates my Sparco seats...) -- well -- how can i say no?

next year...

i actually think i may not have the 2,7 and 915 in the 911 in time for the ECR and we'll wind up taking the Subie - but i am hoping i can have it together in time for the FFC...

(does anybody know of aftermarket seats that are wider through the hip than a Sparco Evo but no bigger outside? i have just about 1/8" clearance between the tunnels and the seat...)

No worries. I wish you could have made it but too.

Maybe you can get a cookout shirt and wear it to the other event (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Cheers (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)

i'd be up for that if you'll have them in time...

we're planning to come down to Kennett Square some time the prior weekend (Sep 10-11) for the Mushroom Festival - maybe we can get together then...

if so - sign me up for an XL.

Any V8 conversion cars going to make the East Coast Cookout???????????????? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)

We will have all the stock 4's, a few flat 6's, a Suby 4 (Yes the very one that was at the WCC), and a turbo 4 (or shall I say THE turbo 4) at the event (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving-girl.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving-girl.gif)

Everything was going perfect! Yesterday I took off work to begin massive final body work, today I got up to complete final sanding before painting begins on Monday. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

....and when I woke up it was RAINING!

All work has halted, 'till the rain stops someday. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

East Coast Cookout in my wife's Pontiac Vibe would be really depressing.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving-girl.gif)

The Vibe is actually a watered down Toyota Matrix....if that's possible.
It's a good chase car for the teener...with it's 1.7 liter....
kindof a rolling teener tool box, but that's about it!

Babydoll's owner came over last weekend and helped me with the fuel lines. Still have miles to go before we sleep... I don't know for sure whether we will have her in one piece, but I'm trying. Especially now, since Corvettes at Carlisle is done.

I got a few things left to do as well but they won't keep me from driving up.

Anyone interested in forming a caravan from NoVa near Dulles can e-mail me at jrowe at verizon.net. I'm not sure if the best route is via the Capital Beltway and I-95 to/through Baltimore or up through the back woods via Rt 15 and Harrisburg over to the Brandywine Valley. I'm sure the Rt 15 version will be more scenic.

Suggestions?

US 15 works well for me... but as yet, we're not sure whether Babydoll will make the trip, or whether we'll have to use some other form of transport (I'm leaning toward the big Benz). I'm in Hagerstown, so it's pretty easy to pick up 15 at Emmistsburg or Gettysburg.

OTOH, I also believe that Scott Thacher was looking to form a caravan from the Baltimore area.
