The lens never were yellow on the fog lights, the reflectors were tinted yellow. There are tint kits that might make the yellow happen.

Hi,I searched through the forum and found this thread:
Foglight question for the gurus.... Options V If I understand correctly the yellow lenses are not stock but will fit the existing housing. I'd be interested in the original set-up with the yellow reflectors too ( or just the reflectors) but they would not have to be NOS. thank you :-) |

His listing would be interesting for somebody who does a concourse resto.(or someone who has a bigger budget than me ) thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Hi
Another option is to dye a pair of clear lenses. While not for the picky or the concourse goer, it does work for the thrifty owner. I discovered that the amber tint I use to color my lacquer when doing refinish work (guitars) also works on clear lenses. If interested its available from Stewart Macdonald (guitar parts). And finally a not so great picture. Bob Attached thumbnail(s) |

I used this stuff. Think I got it from Ebay. Maybe not tho, 'cause I remember measuring and telling them how to cut it. I'll see if I can find it and edit this reply. I also remember someone replying to a post about this, they suggested some type of spray on stuff. Or something like the plastic dip, but that stuff is too opaque. Keep using google, you'll find something to try. Good Luck |
