The original image is not the car.

Drive Type says Foot Power? (I guess with no motor or tranny it is!) Has 911 trim? Engine is clear (see through) I guess that means you can't see it because it is NOT there!

Not as rusty as most the cars on the road now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

It is ALL there in crates!

Normally I would not hesitate buying a roller from Arizona. Should have very little rust. The title as a 1969 is a big red flag. Not easy to fix as the seller states. In California, if it were possible to change the year model, the CA DMV would slap a new VIN on it like this: CA1234567.

I had a 1969 911 with a CA VIN. It was a legit motor swap to 3.2L done in the 80's. Since it was required to smog at that time, the DMV changed the VIN. It was a bitch to sell the car. It finally went to Virginia after a couple attemts to sell it.

I will not buy another car with a VIN problem... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

If you have a VIN problem in California I would suggest taking it to the California Highway Patrol. DMV people don't know squat. For definitive answers go to the CHP. In my experience, they have always been more helpful.

The original image is not the car.

Some 10 years ago there was a thread with several images from that photoshoot and we concluded that this image is flipped left/right.

The initial giveaway is the steering wheel on the right. We then eliminated this being an actual RHD car by looking at her wedding ring and comparing the hand it is on to the other pics in the photoshoot.

Ergo, the image is flipped and should really look like this:

I wanna say this one is in Tucson or nearby. A similar ad was on Craigslist I was eyeing for my arrival in Arizona next month.

Well, we'll just have to recreate the event while at the WCR … I'll look around for a couple of young ladies willing to volunteer and we'll verify the shadow throw (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

IMO, I don't think those are shadows. They appear to be specular reflections off of the highly polished surfaces: near perfect paint and glass.

The specular reflection concept, as opposed to shadow, is more evident in this picture. Especially from the passenger door glass, windshield, and the hood.
