Getting ready for a 2.?L engine build. I have 2.0l heads that have been rebuilt. Will 96mm cylinders work with 2.0l heads? I was told they would, but is there any work that would have been done to the head to except larger bore?

Thanks,
hine62

If you have a stock crank you will have a 2056. No issues on the 96mm as the OD of them are exactly the same.

96mm cylinders just have more meat cut out of the insides, the OD is the same as the standard 2.0L 94mm jugs.

Are you going with FI or carbs?

If FI, you can bolt-on. If carbs, you might want to think about splitting the case and installing a cam specifically designed for carbs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Thanks! Looks like the heads will be good.

The case will be split to put in a cam for 40/44 carbs. The crank will be a 78mm.
