Has anyone installed the Jonsey billet tuna can and had a problem with the sensor ?
Mine does not appear to be cooperating... |

Do you mean the taco plate and the oil temp sensor?
If they chromate or anodize the "billet" (assuming aluminum) then yes you could have a grounding issue. You can check continuity from the temp sensor body to the engine case. Should be less than 10 Ohms (preferably less than 0.1 Ohms). |

Has anyone installed the Jonsey billet tuna can and had a problem with the sensor ? Mine does not appear to be cooperating... Jim, I insalled the same sensor on mine as you but did not have an issue. But I have an aftermarket gauge and it runs about 30 degrees higher than the dipstick temperature thermometer. I wonder if you just have a bad wire, ? |
