Just checking up on the Mazda Laguna Seca cornerstone (fundraiser) of late last summer...anybody heard of any progress ? I think enough $ was collected for a couple of inscribed bricks , something like "914world.com / place jackstands here"
Anybody ?? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)

The Brick company called me 2-3 weeks ago, they were just starting to
engrave the bricks.
They had extended the offer with Laguna Seca, because they said the
offer had gone so well and they wanted to let others in on it.

I was hoping to take some pictures on saturday (2-19), as I thought I'd be
over in the area on a drive with the 6speedonline group, but the drive has been
cancelled due to the rain.

I am hoping to get over there asap to take some pictures.
The lady did tell me that the Brick placement plans had changed, that they were
now going to Start at the corkscrew, circle around it and then go from there.
She told me that "you guys were one of our first orders, so you 'should' get a
pretty good spot".

We'll see (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif)

Enough money was collected for 2 bricks. One 12 x 12 and one 8 x 8.

we'll just blame it on the engraving company.

But just in case...
I'll contact them and see what we can have done about that.
Are we absolutely sure the correct spelling is
Zeltweg????

I'm emailing Mary right now,
she says:
QUOTE
Hi Scott,
Yes, your bricks were sent to the engraver on 1/20/05.  Let me know if you have any other questions!

Boy do we!
I've told her about our Goof, and what can we do to correct it. I'm waiting for her response.

Here is Mary's reply:

QUOTE
Hi Scott!
It is not too late to make this correction.  We have not shipped the bricks to Mazda yet, so we could put your corrected brick on the same "pallet order" for their first installation.
You do not have to buy a whole new brick, but there is a redo fee of $50.00 to make this correction.  Since this is a logo, you would need to get me the correct logo and the $50 payment & I can fax you another paper proof of your revised logo.  Let me know what you would like to do!

The smaller Brick was $250, so I guess $50 to correct it isn't that bad, is it?
And we do want it Corrected, right?

I called Mary because the smaller of our 2 Bricks does not have a Logo, however in order to get the two Umlats
(the two dots in Nurburgring) they are calling the smaller Brick an 8x8 Logo. No sweat.

So, John/Vegas Racer, I need YOU to CORRECT the spelling in the smaller Brick AND email the corrected Jpeg to me, scarlberg@ibuyahouse.com

I will then email the corrected jpeg to her, along with $50 more dollars.
