Very pretty car, but I wonder if the car is modified to that extent, does it matter if the base chassis is a -4 or a -6? I seem to remember George Hussey stating that his 916 started life as a -4 chassis.

I seem to remember George Hussey stating that his 916 started life as a -4 chassis. Yes, he did but Porsche had restamped the vin or took the chassis before it had a vin, I can't remember. If the factory does a vin switch it seems to be regarded as the real thing. They made it, they can change it. |
