curious as to how to remove without ruining the item that the arrow is

pointing at. are there replacement fasteners?

Speed nuts .... readily available.

You can use pliers to unscrew them. Rubber may separate from the metal on removal.

Just finished doing that 2 days ago, used an angled pair of needle nosed pliers. Worked them back and forth a bit and they all came free, destroyed a couple!
