I knew it was rare to find a 901 LSD gear box. Saw this one on Craig's list... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Anyone ever find a 914 with Factory LSD option? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)

No affiliation with the seller BTW.

Yes, one was found on a parts car that was up in the rust belt. I believe it went to Glenn Stazak for the race car restoration.

I never had a 914 that had a LSD as an option but over the years I'e had two 914 transaxles come my way with OE ZF LSD's One tailshifter and one side shift.
One was in a "rebuilt" trans from a well known 914 parts "dealer" in Easton Pa.
The trans wasn't rebuilt but it had the right type stamped in, and it passed the spin test.

I have an LSD transmission in my car. I believe it's a factory one. I've never opened it up to see...

That only fit the early aluminum case 901... The one that fiits the 914 trans uses male stub shafts( a bit longer also) and the bearing journals are bigger.. It can be made to work though ...not worth anywhere near the asking price...

here is the one I converted...

Well, it might be worth more now that it only works for early 911 cars.

I better uncovert mine and throw it on craigslist... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

BTW The one for sale, if you look one bearing has spun on the shaft and has been center punched trying to tighten the bearing fit...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
