Got to spend some quality time with her today. Was able to finish gutting the interior, cleaning, and started re-assembling. Really nice center console with map pocket. Looks like it was never used.Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

WOW really cool.
Here's an interesting fact, my warehouse is about 1mile from the old Audi Porsche office where these came and sat before being delivered. Your car was here at one point.

Great find! We really need a sticky thread for people to post their original invoices to.

good idea- even though i am owner #5, i have the original bill of sale and invoice too- a bit worn but cool that you got that passed down from owner to owner- shows that we have had p.o.'s that cared about the car.

Correct. It is hinged and pivots against the back pad.

Yes, it looks really clean. There area couple of wires under the passenger seat that have been cut. I need to look at Bowlsby's site and figure out where they are supposed to be connected.

nice find! i notice weird stuff. the cleanliness of the dr seat bracket and the anodizing on the ratchet piece. floors look like they're going to be nice. if the longs look as good it's a home run. excellent start. you're way ahead of the game.

Looks nice. If it was mine I'd pull up all the tar on the floor. All it's doing it hiding and promoting rust.

I have the same mess under the seat in the BB. Everybody says only the large gauge yellow wire needs to be spliced together, the rest can go if not going with FI. I'd like to get rid of the other wires if they're not needed, but that's project# 7834 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Some do, some don't. The tops are removable on cars that only have the center arm rest (not the ones with the 'appearance group' center gauge consoles).

I was being snarky, not apparently evident! Every one I've seen has been like mine - the hinge either missing or broken. But seeing one almost new has given me some juice to actually fix mine!

Mark, I'm going to keep the L-jet, it runs really well. I know that means keeping a lot of pretty colored wires....

Had a little time to play with her. Assembled and installed some very nice bumpers thanks to purchases from euro911 and banananose914. Also straightened and repainted the valances. Not perfect but nice drivers. Rocker covers were rust free, so just repainted them. I'll reinstall them tomorrow.Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image
