if clay could take all the pics from the same angle this would have worked mucho better.... <!-- emo&:( -->(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)<!-- endemo -->

You could use an alignment software like combine ZM to skew/adjust the photos

Plus, I really need to look at post dates and read the whole topic before I post...

This is cool Clay. And I'd like to see the other animation as well. Hope it's being updated.

I now have a few cases sitting around and think I will make one of these!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Not worth it when you consider that the jig is <$20 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) But hey, its your mess to clean up and store.

The jig works fine for me. But there are tech sessions with my PCA region where this would be a wonderful thing to have on display. I don't have a scrap 915 case to do the same thing with but it's a good idea to explain gearing to folks who just drive their cars without knowing what's in 'em. I just threw away two of these cases that were cracked. Dangit.

The jig doesn't always work, and this way I can install the shift console and make sure it is right.

Plus, the trans case in the picture suffered from terminal impact trauma from broken CV bolts at high speed (Not in my car... I got it in a box of parts).

Jig doesnt always work? What are you smoking? I have never had it let me down on over 100 builds (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I intend to make one of these, more stripped than yours, for demonstration purposes. As a jig, this is way overkill.

901 Gear Fun

Does anybody know what happened to this animation? I'd like to see it
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif)

Wow does that bring back memories. That was seven years ago, two 914s back and few more gray hairs... I have no idea where it went or why. So I dug out an old computer and spent the day looking for it and whatDoYaKnow, I found it. I re-uploaded it to the original place.

901 Gear Fun

Enjoy! (again)

Move your mouse over the gear numbers at the top.

I have a similar case that was sacrificed for my constant changing of gears in the stack.

Made me sad to move it around the other day….but I might do one more in my lifetime….
