I was trying to upload a little bit of HD for a buddy to check out.
For some reason I was having problems with my FTP, so only 30 megs or so of the file are up so I thought I'd share a bit.
The camera is a Sony HVR-Z1U 1080i. You're seeing it encoded with windows media 9 HD. Most folks will need to view it at 50%
unless you are using a monitor with 1920 x 1200 resolution. There was more stuff in the clip, daytime stuff and some closeup detail stuff that was pretty nice.

The biggest problem with the camera right now is finding editing software that will work well with it. Avid's supposed to have a real solution out sometime this summer.
Hopefully that will work well. When that happens - watch out world here I come!

Blue Ray and HD-DVD better get their stuff together because the content providers are gearing up for HD for the masses.

30 seconds of Windows media HD

WOW!!!! That is awesome. I'm really impressed. I hereby nominate you as official videographer of the West Coast Classic (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Not that I actually have the authority to do so, but whatever. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif)
