I am putting the headlight motors back in my '72. It has been apart for about 3 years.

I have parts from many donor cars and can't remember if the brush plates AND the rubber covers are used. I know the car had the brushes but don't recall if it also used the rubber covers as they appear to big to fit the slot that the arm from the motor to the headlight goes through.

So the question is did the early 1972 models use the rubber cover?
