The title says it all.

Porsche Werks-GT 914.1.43.0140 - one of the 3 Monte Carlo GTs from the 1971 race - was bought by Recaro about a year ago, and then brought back to ist ONS look.
This weekend it's going to be presented to public at the "Solitude Revival":

Unfortunately I can't be there, but I'm sure that we will find lots of photos in the next couple of days.

You could also follow the Facebook-Link from Recaro: https://www.facebook.com/recarostream

Here's some additional infor with lots of pics: http://stream.recaro.com/en/safety-first-porsche-9146-gt/

and even a film:

Anybody happen to notice the 2 VW Type IIIs in the back row of group photo of safety cars. I wouldn't have considered those speedy enough to provide prompt rescue service at a racetrack.

Does anyone have more specific information on the race history of this car before it was converted for track safety?

yes - the car entered exactly one race as 914-6 GT race car:

1971 Rallye Monte Carlo (January 22-29, 1971)

it started ist 2nd carreer as the ONS-R car at the 1971 Formula 1 GP in Germany (August 1, 1971)

Just curious....three exhaust outlets? What's the rationale?

the center 2 pipes go straight thru, there is no muffling. when you plug the 2 center pipes exhust goes thru the muffler.

my GT muffler is exactly like that - been on the car since 1974

- i made caps for the center pipes to get it quiet for street, & capped the oem outlet for track - eventually i just closed off the oem outlet & now run it in "sport" mode

great video & info ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I love the rally muffler too, I've been planning on sending my M&K back to them to modify it from the 'sport' to rally' spec so I can cap the centers when driving around my neighborhood...then open it up when out of the burbs.
