on the bottom center rib of my Trans are the numbers HA 16 015. Anybody have a way of decoding? Or is it even anything that matters? Thanx

Something like:
HA = 914 5-speed transmission with open diff
16 = week of the year
015 = series number within the week, or coding for the date and maybe hour?

There were two different numbering schemes and one used series numbers and the other I think didn't specify more precisely than week or day.

Thank you gents. This car is a 1970, and now I know the Trans is from a 1975. The PO had also installed a LSD, and re-geared it.
