I always forget about the 914 in GP...... Sorry about that. I've never had FI on my 914 so I never really considered it for IT or GP.

IT (Improved Touring) is an option, too. The SCCA is shaking up IT in a big way with regards to weights and classing right now. It's hard to say whether a 914 would have a chance at competing in IT.

The 914s were actually re-classified in IT for 2005. The 2.0 liter cars are now in ITB with a weight penalty and the 1.7 and 1.8 liter cars are in ITC.

Steve,
BTW Steve, I'll be in town for the 12 Hours of Sebring.  Are you guys heading down?

I was definately going but yesterday I got invited to a very good friends birthday party and it just happens to be on the 19th. I really must go to this party and will have to miss the 12 Hour.

However, I do plan on going to the HSR event at Sebring this weekend.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif) I run in several classes:

FAA; super ultralights
SCORE Offroad: low ground clearance, stuck-in-sand class
IMSA: GTX
NHRA: Top Gas funny car
Swamp Buggy: street tire division
NOPI: Non-rice class
Pike's Peak: 2 wheel drive, mile high club
Southern California Timing and Scoring: Full body, 2000 cc, air cooled, semi-streamliner
Paris-Dakar: two-wheel-drive-no-chance-of winning class

I don't win very often, but boy I have fun. Watch for me on SpeedChannel (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)
