Spotted several old 914’s on my way to work yesterday at a wrecker service lot.

Stopped and chatted with the seller. As I understand it, he got a bargain on all these for helping a customer move some other old Porsches. There are at least 7 teeners available.

These are all for sale. According to the owner, they need to be sold, or they’ll be crushed. I think he wants to get $500 per car OBO. Heavy emphasis on the OBO.

A few have engines, some do not. Some have more rust than others. At least one is a 2.0.

The seller is not a 914 guy. He doesn’t know much about these cars, but the upside is that he could arrange shipping if anyone wants to pick one of these up... Or you could drive to beautiful Huntsville to check ‘em out.

I may or may not pick up one of these for myself. Depends on if I can sweet-talk my wife into it.

Bottom line - this may be good opportunity if anyone is looking for a blank canvas to build from.

Sellers is Parker Towing in Huntsville AL

Photos are in no particular order.

I drove by this lot again today and noticed that these are all gone. Below are a few more photos I snapped when I got mine.

Definitely sad. One followed me home though. So that's one that may be saved.
I got most of the VINs saved to the VIN Database.

I didn't. It had the Fuchs (originals? reproductions? not sure...) on the front only. It had steelies on the back.

I think it sold. The seller told me he had a buyer lined up for that one.

Wish I would win the lottery so that I could restore every one of those with a 2270 motor in them.
