Hi guys,
Unfortunately, I'm left with a spring after I changed the pistons rings on my 1.7 engine..... the spring is not from the valves, not from the rockers arms..I'm not sure where it belongs to..I couldn't find it in any drawing.. The diameter of the coin is 24.25 mm/0.95 in I'm a bit afraid that I might ruin something in my engine.. Attached thumbnail(s) |

You said 25mm diameter for the spring, which is a lot less than twice 20mm.
Regardless, that's what it looks like. I think it's too big to be for any of the oil pressure control/relief pistons, and it is way way too large to be for the cooling flaps. Not sure what else it could be offhand. --DD |
