It may be under powered and look like a brick but it makes me think of adventure. This is coming from the owner of a 1966 VW Bus who has made many memorable trips troughout the US and Canada. I am sure there are many others out there like me.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm thinking.. V8 conversion! Think the transaxle will hold up? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

Go to Samba.com for a bunch of strange air cooled bus stuff.
This thing is in there somewhere. |

Yes it would hold up. At one time I had a V6 in my bus with the stock transaxle and it did fine. There are others who have successfully put V8s in older busses. I think Kennedy is still the primary supplier for adapter plates and hardware for the conversions. |

Mmm, don't know about a 52 356 tranny though. Hard to know what is in this motorhome.

It looks like the 914, in that it is hard to tell if it is "coming or going". (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
