Whoo HOO! So these are the nicest wires I have ever had on any of my air-cooled cars.
8mm Electrosports. Blue wire. American boots at both ends with really nice tin seals. (Magnecor Wires - 4023 - 8.0mm for Porsche 914) These are specificaly made by Magnecor for the 2.0L type IV engine. I'll get them installed tonight when I get home. I wanna get a picture of them 1st.
They rock. www.ApexPerformance.net Good price great service. Even got a sticker (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/mueba.gif)

Let us know how you like 'em. I tried to get a set through Pelican last fall. Waited 3 weeks and they said they didn't know when they were ever going to get them back in stock. Settled for the Beru set. Nice wires, but not Magnecor.

They have a set of blue 8mm for under a hundred dollars for my 914/6.

I wonder if they have the proper spark plug towers on them. Anyone have any experience? I'm in the market for a set, and that's a great price.

if they're the same as the ones on the red 8,5's (and i don't see why they wouldn't be) they're good. not concours-original, but they are actually useful to folks like us who pull plug wires rather more frequently than most -- there are little finger-grips molded into the ends. good stuff.

Best thing to do is call Steve or email him. the 40442 is a 2.0L six cylinder engine. The plug boots and tin seal for my set 4023 will work perfectly for my Type 4 configuration.
