Hello All...haven't been a frequent flyer here in a number of years and let's face it, at this point I only seem to post when I need help. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Have an issue with my fuel pump. Car has been running great all summer, and this morning I did a spirited drive with the local car club (car porn pic below). Came back and found the fuel pump was leaking at the unit. Here is more specific info: - 1973 with a 1.7. D-Jet. Pump is located underside front of car near the tank. - Original pump as far as I can tell. I've never replaced and have owned it for 10 years. - Replaced all the lines a number of years ago and never a sign of leakage until this spirited drive this morning. - Appears to be leaking from at least one of the nipples or the "nipple plate"?. Tried replacing lines, cranking down clamps, etc. Nothing works. Drips down the lines into the ground when pump is on. I know enough to search before I post, and I didn't see any threads about pumps leaking from the "front" of the pump. Is that a thing? Have some questions on replacement pump options and fuel line sizes if it comes to that. Was running great and then bam leaking like a civ from unit and nothing helps. Thank you for the help!
