> turbo tie rods

i need some advice on turbo tie rod kit! are they easy to install?

Not too difficult to install and worth the effort. Just make sure you have the alignment adjusted when you are done. Not knowing your mechanical ability it is hard to say how difficult it will be for and individual. I can tell you though I did it pretty easily and am glad I did.

Very easy - just need to soak everything down for a few days before you try it (I use PB Blaster). Anyway, the most difficult part is finding a wrench that is thin enough to fit between the new tie rods and the steering rack. Find the tool first. I couldn't find one and didn't want to buy one for a one-time useso I just had the dealer do that prior to a 4 wheel alignment (which you will also need). Good luck. BTW, if your tie rods were even remotely loose before, your car will now trully feel like a go cart. You'll find that you are probably use to driving and compensating for free play in your tie rods today. Once you install these, every time you even think about moving the steering wheel, your car will change direction. Have fun!

Yes, this is one of the "must do" upgrades.
One of my "real racer" friends drove it after the TTR's and alignment and couldn't believe it was the same car.

Easy but take your time...not difficult at all. To make it easier to drive to the alignment shop it helps to get it close first....so this is what I did:

1. took old tie rods off
2. lined up old with new and adjusted them off the car to be the same length
3. the difference between the two new ones I noted, took the difference and then adjusted the new ones to be the same
4. adjusted the steering rack to be spaced equally on both ends (just move it side by side and measure until perfect)
5. install new tie rod ends

When I did this my car tracked straight the first time out...was amazed. However, I did have to adjust my steering wheel. Obviously other owners adjusted the rack to keep the steering wheel straight versus adjusting the wheel (so I didn't really have equal turns from left to right).

Have fun!...You will have much more feeling through the wheel and more precise steering. You will, however, feel the bumps more.

Cause I just installed them--and with the front off the ground I had to run them in all the way in on adjustment to get them some sorta close to zero toe--and I know as the arm swings up the knuckles are going to want to go out even more---I have no more adjustment---

These spacers are supposed to be used--right--anybody else encounter this???

If you are talking about spacers that look like big very thick washers...yes you must use them!
