yep, in the 914 the other night, driving home from returning a movie. acclerate a bit through an interesection to make the light (no sweat) , and suddenly there are lights behind me! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)
i pull over, trying to remember what it is one is supposed to do when pulled over; registration, now where is that stuff? officer asks me to pull into the industrial park, off the highway. Yes, sir. pull into the industrial park, and he asks if those are fog lights i am running? i tell him they are driving lights ( i was running drivers only, no headlights. the pilots are so bright you can't tell my headlights are even on, so why raise 'em?). he proceeds to inform me that the WSP (insert sinister theme music here) would likely cite me for not having my headlights on with the driving lights, due to some rule about aftermarket replacement headlights blah blah blah. i raise them to show they work. he then asks about the teener; what year? looks like she's in good shape, says he. a few more pleasantries exchanged. i appreciated the 'heads up' on the driving light issue. a very polite, friendly officer. one of poulsbo's finest. he never asked me for my license or any of that. does this mean i have matured past being profiled as one of the "usual suspects." i no longer look capable of posing a meance to society? am i know considered... shudder... safe? the end of an era, i suppose... |

Oh your one of the usual suspects alright... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif) Just one of the "other " usual kind.. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) Nice story. Not every situation requires a ticket. Nice to know there are some real humans behind the badge. In my opinion he just wanted to check you out. The lights were a reason to pull you over, once he sized ya up and didn't see a bag of meth in the seat next to you then all was good.
Or maybe he just wanted to see the car. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) |
