Hi guys,

I ordered a replacement turbo end rod from pp.

I'm a bit confused now, my old one had a drilled hole for a cotter pin and the new is undrilled but has a plastic lock-nut.

both are made by Lemforder.

is the new one the updated version, or do I have to return it?

Thanks!

Seems everyone is moving to nylon lock nuts in place of cotter pins. The last several tie rods and ball joints I've replaced on an assortment of cars (Euro and Japanese) have gone this route. As a matter of fact, our '04 BMW 330ci used nylon lock nuts out of the factory.

Thanks buddy!

I guess I will have to rebalance my suspension now due to the missing cotter pin weight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)
