Planning to go 5-lug on the 914-SHO project and want to use the 911 suspension along with the calipers. In Eric's article on the topic he mentions S-Calipers, Turbo Calipers, A-Calipers and Wide A-Calipers (Carrera Calipers).
I'm not set on either caliper, but what I am set on is that I want the 911 suspension that includes the underbody Sway bar. Can someone outline the years and models (or point me to a source) that combines that sway bar with any of the above calipers? TIA |

Any of the 911 front suspensions from 1974 (75?) through 1989 would give you all the needed parts. I have the Carrera front struts/brakes on my conversion car, and they give plenty of stopping power.
Since you can use adapters to fit bigger calipers on the earlier 911 struts, I'd look to see what you can find for a fair price. |

TIA I have sets of 911 A arms for the under body sway bar and several sway bars. You can use the A arms with and 911 (or 914 strut) You are best to stick with any strut 72 or later using the taper pin type ball joints. |

Under body sway bars can drag cats at least 100 feet. Ask me how I know...

Great feedback, thanks guys. I'll start the search.
Bruce, any chance you have some parts for sale? If so, can you post some pics? |
