https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8yvytRtShE https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S8yvytRtShE 13.2 at 5800 ft above sea level. Not bad for narrow body car. |

60'ft is pretty darn good on narrow tires!
Giving you sea level corrections that's a 12.28@117mph! This puts you at 320hp figuring a race weight of 2500lbs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Thats a great time, I'll bet the guy in the Dodge said WTF!
Did you use first gear or just start in second. In one of your other posts you said you had a L33m with 799 heads and a different cam. I would guess you are way above 320hp Bob |

Excellent. Some time ago I posted asking what other people's quarter mile times were. so we could compare. I think I got maybe one other time/speed. 914's apparently don't do quarter miles and I'm not sure why, exactly. It's a performance measure like any other, a way to measure effective horsepower, but maybe it's not "Porsche-like" enough (pinky raised), or too American, or, and I think this is most probable, 914's are generally just pretty slow in a straight line so people don't want to know how slow. That's why it's cool to see your car doing so well. Bucks the trend, so to speak.

Years ago, the annual PCA Parade in Cincinnati had a night at the drags, and I seem to remember a 914-6 conversion ran in the 12s. It was a fun night and It was fun to see the Porsche run down the strip.
Actually, my other interest is mid 70s GMC Motorhomes, and there is a YouTube video of folks running them down the drag strip as well. Gotta have fun where you can! |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) I'm a automotive enthusiast :-) and really like all cars and the people that go with them. This was a test and tune night so there was a plethora of cars there, super fun. My car is set up to road race but had to see what it had in a safe environment. I took down quite a few cars and trucks ;-) Newer M6, 996 turbo and some built imports. Not going every week although it seams like the car can take it all day long. Launch after launch banging of rev limiter alot all good but I did spend alot On custom axles.
