Luke is right. The RD piece isn't an exact replacement for the factory piece.
The factory piece is two layers. The corrugated portion is on the inside. Outside is smooth. The RD piece is 16 gauge I believe. With the portion inside the engine compartment corrugated. Here's what Nathan did ............... http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...3507&st=160 I do believe both sides are available from Porsche Classic. Big Bucks ... |

That's the problem that I'm having and why I'm looking for a factory part. It's going in my 914-6 and if possible I would like to use a factory part for the repair. I did order the RD part and it should be here any day now. I'm going to see how it all fits first. I did call Stoddard but they only have the drivers side with the pass side being NLA. I called a few other places but no one has it in the US. Also checked stock in Germany, nothing. Someone out there may have it stashed away but good luck finding it. I'm sure one will turn up after I get it fixed and no longer need it. So for now it's plan B and see how that works. |

I found the driver's side piece earlier this year. But I haven't found the passenger one. |
