Hi
I currently have a 914-6 GT 2.8. I was curious as to brake options for vintage events. Looking at groups like SVRA. The car runs in VARAC in Canada. That series has no rules for brakes. So the car has big reds Upfront and 944Turbos in the rear. These will Be an issue for most events. Thanks for your input . Cheers Attached thumbnail(s) |

Brakes will only slow you down and you don't want to go slow in a race car! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
I've got 908 Front Aluminum Calipers on my car |

You might have a displacement problem
Alloy calipers or a calipers can work But look here: http://www.svra.com/wp-content/uploads/201...rsche_914-6.pdf |

Amazing to watch And nice the times I've talked to him I don't know how svra looks at that group But the tech team is pretty helpful Slightly black/white, but well informed Give them a call for the bottom line. In case you like the answer it never hurts to use email and have it in writing... A long tow can become harder if the tech guys change at your first visit to a new club, an email print out can be useful!!! |

I run with the Vintage Racer Group, VRG. We have events in the New England and Mid-Atlantic areas. They would welcome you, but bump you up in class. You would be running with 914-6s, early V8 Mustangs, Corvettes, 911s, last event at NJ even had a McKee Can-Am car in our group. Great events and great group.

Have you tried calling SVRA? They *might* know what they allow...

Cheers The best Porsche brake guy to talk to is Eric Shea at PMB performance. He has the best prices on brake parts too. He is a moderator here at 914 World. |
