Any ideas on how to get a uniform black surface, short of repaint?

Many 914's now seem to have a streak/s from side to side at about the front edge of the targa bar either lighter or darker than the rest of the top.

Thanks

Mine looked like hell. PO's tried to wax it I think. I got lucky and used some paint reducer to clean it. It stripped all the old stuff off and left me with a nice uniform flat black finish.
I tried it on my spare too and it cleaned up real good as well.
It's worth a try and won't hurt it as long as you wipe it off right away. Don't let it sit on it or it might eat at the fiberglass.
