Guys, my friend is very, very serious about buying a 914 located in San Francisco. Have seller's name, address and home phone and would like to arrange PPI ASAP! Can anyone do this next week? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/pray.gif)

I could go and give it a look-over for rust, scary bodywork, missing stuff, wrong stuff, and a driving test. I know what to look out for, but no guarantees on the mechanicals I can't see... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

Your call, but I am around this week and next.

Where is the car exactly? "San Francisco" can sometimes cover a lot of ground. If it's actually in the city of SF, Pete can probably help better than I can. If it's actually somewhere else in the SF Bay Area, then someone else may be able to look at the car more conveniently. If its somewhere on the Peninsula, I'd be happy to go have a look. If it's in the East Bay or the South Bay, I'm sure someone could be found to take a look.

Pete and James: PM sent to each with the contact info I have. Thanks and please arrange PPI when you can. Massachusetts needs another 914 on the streets. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Awright, i'll call the dude's cell tomorrow and see if i can hook it up. Central SF... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)

Does that mean my old hood, the Tenderloin? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

Don't worry, while I happen to have an extra spot in the garage, i am losing it in a couple moinths... so your car is pete-proof in snipe terms. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Besides, that's just plain ungentlemanly...

Send your friend a message about the Bay Area lunch this month. He can come share in the insanity.

i used to have a really cool space on market street, between 6th and 7th ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

if you ever walk down market, look for the blue 2-story building (ex-HBJ store),
i had the 2nd floor, with all the windows facing market street ...

All about the Loin.

The digs used to be at Bush and Leavenworth, which is actually kinda Upper Loin Heights, but it was money cuz most of SF's best bars, cheap food, and cool hangouts were but blocks away.

It's also largely Marina chick-proof....

Only bummer was parking (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/alfred.gif)

Live in California, born in California, raised in California.

Imported a down-to-earth, wonderful wife from Ohio...too bad she got stuck with me! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Put the call in this morning and left a message....waiting for a call back.

Hopefully, the timing will work out that I can check it out this weekend on one of the mornings. If not, maybe fiid can back me up. I'll post as soon as I know!
