I don't think I'd bother for a street-driven 2056, myself. Cast-iron has proven itself for that config over and over again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Head temps are the main concern, not cylinders. Look at a 911 engine for example, the fins are not as deep as a VW cylinder. FWIW, I have built many engines using AA cylinders. My 2270 is 20 years old now with who knows how many miles and has cast iron 96mm AA cylinders with KB pistons. |
