I've done a search but can't find info on replacing the dash top, the vinyl section that goes between the formed dash top and the windshield. I need to replace my windshield, so am wondering with that removed can I replace the vinyl without removing the molded dash top, which is in great shape?
Thanks in advance for any help John |

Thanks - -I have plenty of matching vinyl and experience cutting/fitting on older 911 cars, but not with 914. My question is, with the windshield removed, can I remove and reinstall the front piece (between the windshield and dash itself) without having to loosen or remove formed dash top?

My question is, with the windshield removed, can I remove and reinstall the front piece (between the windshield and dash itself) without having to loosen or remove formed dash top? The dash vinyl trailing edge goes under the dash leading edge. Can it be done? I suppose. But not correctly. Dash comes out by removing the plastic fastening nuts. Not difficult. |
