In all of our helpful discussions about oils for transaxles vs. transmissions separate from differentials I don't recall seeing this reference. Fortunately we have admonitions every now and then about sticking with ONLY GL-4 and NOT GL-4/GL-5 for our transaxles. This will explain in even more detail.

Warning: It is a Corvair site and so not for women and children and others weak of heart. And, forsooth, I only ventured there because I found a Fitch Corvair rust bucket that I will sell to a new owner far away now that I have it running and stopping.
