(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Well guys, been running my electrics back in and remounted my front t/s and rear lights--got my doors on and all the guts inside and the glass--

Problem: having a hell of a time getting that w/s frame / targa seal on---seems as if I gotta stretch it a little..the area where it goes onto the lip--is there metal in there for pinch?? I just cannot get that damned thing to stay put as I stretch it, much less force it on the lip--tried soapy water, just exacerbates the problem--I have no problem whatsoever getting it into the side frames--what gives??

That is strange that you are having a problem with the top part but got the sides on easily. Usually its the other way around. I use baby powder or Talc to put the sides in and the top is usually no problem at all. Yes, there is metal inside the rubber that grips the top lip. It should just push right on. That is how mine did.

It also looks like you are missing one of the rubber seals that goes below the main seal along the top.

Yea--its in my parts bin---couldn't remember the on / off--should it go in first??

I don't want to talc the top piece--it will never grip right

Side went in like a hot knife thru butter--it was pre-talc'd
