So it looks like the wiring fuse block needs to be replaced...shorts here and there and i hate the old style fuses anyways....any recomendations on aftermarket replacements?

Engman makes a sweet replacement that uses the spade type fuses.

I've got one and the quality is A+. I looked elsewhere for a DIY type thing because I didn't want to plunk down the $90 for it, but it turns out to be WELL worth it if you compare it to the other stuff out there. Plus, it's already made to fit a 914.
