Brett - Yes. Mine are modified/custom. Also, the Hoosier R7 have squared sidewalls that cause some folks issues (as opposed to the R6). Just another thing to consider if you're cutting it close.

Cracker,

Your flares look different than mine, looks like the lip has been pushed out. I have stock (un-modified) GT flares and the 275 just will not fit. I would be interested in hearing what is different about yours. I need to get the tires to fit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I love my Fikse 17" rims too. Some 17" rims don't look right, but IMHO the Fikse's look great.

Are you sure you want big heavy wheels that don't look right on a 914?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Um, yeah.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

These wheels are not heavy.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Vintage Cool! Ya, 17's are a better performance choice. But I don't track the Alien. And when I did it was pretty much throttle steering anyway.

They do look good but tire selection in the 15 and 16 is horrible. I'd rather run a 17 with a wide selection of high performance street tires than have 15's or 16's and be stuck with competition only tires. Look where I live. All competition tires and most ultra performance street tires can't even be stored in a freezing environment. That leaves my garage out.

In my mind, the tire is what's important. The rim is just a means to an end. It's a bonus if I like the look. Thankfully, I just so happen to really like the RSR finish Fuchs.

with 9 in wide rims I believe the offset should be right around a et15.. and will fit with 255/40's.. inner lip might need some adjustment at worst..

Steve,
Your silver car is beautiful.
This Fiske model has an "airy" look since a lot of material is removed.

Yes and no. Both are Fuchs replicas but they're made by different companies.

I bought mine from Wheeldude.com - I might of over paid but my RSR finish wheels were $350 each...7 & 9 with 911 offsets. Reciept says Fox...

Euromeister 16x9 15mm ET, AA steel flares. 245-50x16 had to trim the lip on the flare for clearance.
