914/6 body numbers - can one gain any insight about the car by the use of this number in the trunk?

Hi Gustl,

i have a question. The number in the rear trunk of my car is 132242.
My fin is ???? (you know ;-))

Can this be right? It`s because the number of the other car is 132193 and the fin might be 9140432125.
So the fin number of this car is higher than mine, but the number in the trunk is lower than mine....

Hi Harald,

yes, this should be correct - the VIN and the body number didn't go parallel.
As we know, your car was a "special order" colour, I guess this is why the difference is bigger than at "normal" colour cars.
