I am 99% sure that is my old car. Sold it to a guy near Cleveland a few years back and heard he sold it to someone in Virginia.
Put a lot of $ into it while I owned it approx. 12 yrs. Bare metal repaint, resealed engine, lots of new parts. Battery tray and hellhole were very good condition. No rust anywhere. Never in the rain/snow. I sold it for nowhere near the current asking price.
If anyone wants any more info on the car, let me know.

Pedrini alloys. My first 914 had those wheels. Sweet.

Price just jumped up $3K to $24,900.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Porsche-914-/...725.m3641.l6368

It looks like an excellent car. It does look like it might have one of those plastic replacement dash tops though. But that aside I was really digging this car, just enjoying looking at it...until I saw this heresy! For that price, it needs to have original working FI. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

Yep. Single Weber carb and dash top cover installed by me maybe 10 years ago. Never thought it would reach this price. Should have kept it.

Has the car sold and the buyer paid. That's when the deal is done.

not sure it sold;

This listing (...725.m3641.l6368) has been removed, or this item is not available.

It says "best offer accepted". Unless the deal goes sour, the car has sold.

Looks like the price has gone up another $5k (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Who's going to pay $30k for a 1.7 with a single weber? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Maybe the same type of person who would pay $24.9K but without the smarts to check previous sales?!?

That car moved around. A lot! Virginia, Georgia, California in a fairly brief time period. Looks like the last one was left holding the bag.

And before Virginia, etc. it lived in Cleveland, Ohio for awhile and before that in Pittsburgh with me. I owned that car for many years even if it had a single carb. Wonder why no one wants it for very long??? If it keeps selling at a lower price each time, I should buy it back.
