Everytime I jack up my car and place the jack stands underneath the donut thingy I get nervous that it might slip off the stand.

I saw a previous post where someone used a pipe and cut sides on it so it can fit the jack stand on the bottom and the top half would go over the donut.

So I am interested in what everyone use to make it more secure ??

If I can find the picture I will attach it to the post.

Inquiring minds want to know ?

Nice Jack, but what about the top of the Jack Stand? What do you use on top of the jack stand to keep it from slipng off?

Google Porsche jack stands and a few options come up.
Here's what I plan to make for my stands.

Put a 1x2 x4' under the long and center the floor jack slightly ahead of the jack tube. Then put the jackstand under the rear trailing arm at the console. Quick and safe. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

I put some old tennis shoes on top of my jackstands and it seemed to be stable for a few years :-)

But I love the look of those above from Luke M.

Do any of the 3D printers have material that would stand up to this kind of pressure & abuse?
