Yo!

ein 6er (aka Doug) is a really nice guy... sold some parts to him, and met him a few times.

He has a schweeeeet 914-6 (silver of course) that's been well taken care of. Very original looking.

Doug, post some pictures damnit and quit lurking. Wait,... I can post one for you.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

He came to my house last year to buy a set of 6x16 Fuchs I had laying around.

Regards,

Karl

Yo Doug!

What Karl and JRust said! Welcome to the board - you are right -- it is an incredible group! imho, all should post -- it's the only way to learn or teach.

And (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) is still my favorite porsche emoticon!

Andy.... adjust the brightness on your monitor!

They are Euro lenses!!!

Actually, it's a bit dark from the shadow... but they aren't black.

Later!

Welcome Doug !!

Thanks for "coming out" and posting. Most of us only bite once and then its all down hill from there. Your car looks great.. I have its brother right now at the shop (silver factory 9146).

Seeeee.. lurkers. The worst thing that can happen (if you come out)..lots and lots of people "welcoming you".

thanks all for the warm welcome and kind words!!

the originql owner ordered this car from a dealership in wiesbaden, germany while in the military in '70 and had it shipped to jacksonville ,fl. in '71. it was ordered as a u.s. equipped car. vin # 2264

it's probably pretty boring to most, i've kept it looking fairly original but i'm no CW. it doesn't have the original motor but has a '67 2.0 911 engine. the info i have says the stock '67 engine had 130 hp. one of the POs "supposedly" rebuilt the motor, hp wise it feels like the sock hp.

BTW, i'm looking for the original motor, # 6405471

turbo tie rods, weltmeister s-bars frt and r, just had the carbs rebushed at eurometrix, the dizzy rebuilt by j. woods, crane xr 700. it's got the 14 in. fuchs but i'm trying to refinish a set of 16x6s so i can use the 86 carerra frt suspension and brakes i have.

a 3.2, rennshift, maybe a wevo 915 and of course all the other goodies are on my wish list.

i'm off to the central fl meet!! i look forward to meeting everyone!!

thanks again!!

My GOD! Did you "notice" that hostess too? OUCH! I suffered a neck spasm and a mouthful of ponytail during her frequent passes by the table. Momma birthed her with an extra dose of attention-getters!

I think she got the wrong idea whenever she caught me licking my hot-sauce-drenched fingers. Wait, maybe it wasn’t the wrong idea ...
