Clayton got this from a member here (Spunone) and is so impressed by the quality that we wanted to share some pictures of it. Clayton had this one powder coated in red but they come natural. Way nice part.

Oh, Sorry, I thought it would be obvious. Its the filler neck. Its a direct replacement made from aluminum. Very nice looking and functional too. You will have to send him a PM to find out how much they are though. I wasnt privi to that info.

Nope, not really. The coolest thing is that it is much nicer than the plastic one. It is heavier than the stock plastic one but lets see you powder coat the stock one to match your engine.

Ok, fair question, nothing makes it More functional, but what does that have to do with engine dress up? Its like changing out the factory steering wheel or pedals or shifter and mirrors or anything else you just like better. I was just showing another item that a member here makes that some of you might be interested in.

It's just that the stock filler looks like it fell off a sears tractor. Think I had one of his first prototypes. Attached image(s) |

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif) That is cool!! I have heard rumors about your wits with teeners, so I thought you were saying it did something better than the original piece. So, I was sitting here trying to figure out what flaw was in the original design. Type IV's are not the easiest to dress up. The oil filler neck would be a good choice. Very nice piece. Though I think a chrome clad V8 dresses up the engine compartment very well. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I made a flat aluminum base plate to replace that ugly sheet metal piece.

This is a great product. He donated one to our Toys for Tots run raffle in December that was won by AZBILL. It looks great in his car.
One is on my wish list! |

Why is it so tall? I looks nice, but I'd want one that was shorter. Basically just a screw top. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) But I like it!
