I have the whole day to work on my '74 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's my first father's day. I have a 3 1/2 week old boy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Kerry,

Congrats on your first father's day. When they're as little as yours, you might be able to still spend 6 hours with your car. It will change!!

Get your sleep.

I've had a devastating week.
The 914 puked......but even worser, my 1974 Lawn Boy mower broke. It's the same year as my 914, it's almost the same color, I'm almost the orginal owner, and the effin' grass is gettin long......I was bummed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

SO......I got done fixin' the effin car and gettin ready to go get my "spare" Lawn Boy....everybody has one, right? The wife says....you don't need to do that....HUH, says I. She leads me out to the SUV thingy and there in back is a NIB HONDA lawn grooming device with Hydrostatic drive and a bunch of other stuff I can't even speel. Can an S2000 be far behind?

I followed the thing around for an hour ( I think it may have a built in navagation system....but I didn't read the directions) then had a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) Life is gud.

J P,
So you have a "Rice" lawn mower? Are you goin' put a big fat exhaust pipe and a bunch of graphics on it to make it go faster? Or lower it and add a body kit and... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif) ????

Yeah, I asked for some time for the car plus going out for breakfast!

Kerry, if you son is just 3 1/2 weeks old do something fun with the family like go to the zoo. The car can wait some but being with your kids and wife is special.

First thing I thought of too......

I get to work on the 356 after the kids "take me" to brunch....yesterday I stripped out all the sound deadener and the cheesey aftermarket carpet....found a few more holes in the pan and the rear seat area.

Yuppers, 356ers were four seaters....them Germans musta had tiny butts to sit back there.

Happy Dad's day....gonna call my old man now.

It wuz scary.

I put gas in the Honda, pushed some leevers around like I knew what I was doing (the wife was watching) and gave the starter a hearty tug (old fart style)......it started !!! WTF!!
No farting, poping, smoking and carrying on like my Lawn Boy (and 914). What'll they think of next?

Actually, I don't think I'll do any mods (cept maybe an L spec sticky). I'm more inclinded towards the CW circuit. What's the best wax to use?
