I have the rare EARLY 914-6 rear view mirror. But the glass is discolored quite a bit around the edges.
Does anybody know if it is possible to take the glass out and replace it, or are they sealed in place. I originally bought the mirror NOS from Mittelmotor in Germany. Mirror came and it was discolored. They offered to replace the mirror if I sent it back, which I did. I never heard back and they said they never got it. One year to the day.. this package comes to my house from Germany. It seems the package went all over German and the U.S., but not to Mittelmotor (even though the address WAS correct) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) |

Ask your local auto glass place. Mine does that kind of stuff all the time.
