So, I'm replacing old vacuum lines, and I found an odd one. 1.8L with OE FI. There is a hard plastic vacuum line that comes into the engine compartment under the battery tray, near where the fuel lines come in. In my car in the engine bay, the line heads towards the back, but is not connected to anything! From under the car the line goes along the wall into the front. What is this line?

The charcoal canister. The other end of it hooks to the overflow tank up front.

Hook it back up, or you will smell gasoline every time you fill the tank.
