Okey dokey. Yup, there wer more than I figured, but none has paid yet, so we will see. I will make extras, but give me some time to get it set up. All who ask/asked for sets will get sets, eventually.
ArtechnikA, I believe that these bolts are the 12.9 carbon steel, not stainless. If I had said they were stainless before, I appologize for the missinformation. They are still better than the orriginal, but they are NOT stainless. If this matters to anyone, let me know when I PM you about the bill and I will take you off of the list. This next batch are the correct length, 45mm, too. As always, I checked with my supplier about my specs and these will provide perfect service. At present, I need to make 11 more sets.....word sure got out on this. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) On a last note, I don't use paypal due to my thin proffit margin. I do accept checks and MOs, though. I'll be contacting the 1st 15 set buyers. |

Just a suggestion - let people pay the extra $.75 if they want to use paypal. It might be a lot easier than collecting checks.

Mike, 2 sets for me, but you already knew that (even if I didn't tell you). (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Anthony,
I appreciate the suggestion, but getting t\the money out of paypal is a PITA that I don't feel like doing. I have a hole in my account for fronting the 120 bolts that I just bought, and other supplies. Checks work best for me and require less work on my end. For those of you who have gotten the first orders in, I encourage you to post your oppinions here to help people that are on the fence move either way. I wanna here if you like/dislike anything. Could I improve? Ya'll happy? |

He only had 15 sets Karl. By the time you posted, there weren't any left (provided everyone before you actually paid).

Felix,
I have been swamped with work so I havent made all of the sets yet. I will be making them Sun night and shipping them on Tues (I need to package and get supplies). I have over 180 bolts to make so it takes a bit. If I haven't cashed your check yet, then I haven't made your bolts yet. I don't like cashing checks before the product is done. I hope that I am not inconveniencing you, or anyone else. If there are rush orders (like, "I need them to put my car together by XX date) just let me kow and I will prioritize them. Thanks for your patience (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Quarl, I will start a second list from those of you on this list that didn't get any. You will be on it, and I will let you know. Again, if there are rush needs, let me know. |

Mike,
My earliest need will be next weekend so don't sweat it. Do you have any recommended wiring techniques? Link or doc would be great... |

Synthesisdiv (davidr) posted this image in the original thread; it shows the essentials - you loop the wire in such a way as the tension tightens both bolts. Carroll Smith's "Prepare To Win" will tell you about it; everybody preparing a competition car should have this book. proper stainless 0.032" safety wire and a pair of safety wire pliers (all the race-prep places have them) will make the job lots easier, but it can be done with small vise-grip pliers and care. Hope I make enough progress to install these... |
