I have a 915 transaxle that uses the PMS heavy duty cable and roller. I have had 2 cables snap at the roller.
I got a cable made locally and the guy who made it suggested that the PMS ones weren’t flexible enough hence the wear at the pulley. He made me one from a more flexible wire and said it would stretch, it has but it hasn’t failed. I’ve had to adjust it already so I was thinking that maybe I could fabricate a bell crank that replaced the pulley all together and use a short cable or rod from the bell crank to the omega spring. Has this been done by any other members? Will this idea work? I don’t want to do a hydraulic conversion. Thanks |
