When replacing a drive flange seal, I put the seal in about a 1/16" farther in than the one
I took out. The one I took out was flush with the inner lip. Has anyone done this and do you think
it will be a problem?

it will be ok as long as the seal isnt touching the bearing race, i usualy put the in 1/32 to 1/16 you'll be fine
